World Bank Affirms India Will Remain the Fastest Growing Economy: PM Modi

Synopsis: Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the World Bank’s assurance of India’s ongoing rapid economic growth during the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit-2025.’ Modi pointed out the potential in sectors such as aerospace, textiles, tourism, and technology to create substantial job opportunities and enhance investments in Madhya Pradesh.
PTI Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday that the World Bank has indicated that India is set to continue as the fastest growing economy globally in the coming years. He made these remarks after inaugurating the grand ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit-2025’ in Bhopal, aimed at showcasing the vast opportunities available for investors and industrialists in the state. The World Bank recently noted in its Global Economic Prospects report that India will maintain its position as the fastest-growing major economy for the next two years. Modi also mentioned that the Deregulation Commission will facilitate the creation of a regulatory environment conducive to investment in the states. He highlighted that India is becoming a key player in the global aerospace supply chain. Modi asserted that the textile, tourism, and technology sectors are poised to generate millions of jobs in the coming years. Additionally, the Prime Minister introduced 18 new policies from the Madhya Pradesh Government designed to attract significant investment to the BJP-led state. “With a robust talent pool and flourishing industries, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a favored business destination,” Modi remarked. He noted that the pace of development in Madhya Pradesh has accelerated since the establishment of the ‘double engine’ government in the state. Modi also pointed out that Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle revolution. He mentioned the numerous opportunities in the health and wellness sector, adding, “The world is embracing the ‘heal in India’ mantra.”
