In response to these tariffs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized India's commitment to protecting its farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers. Addressing the nation, Modi stated, "For us, the interests of our farmers are our top priority. India will never compromise on the interests of farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers." He further expressed his readiness to bear any personal cost to safeguard these sectors, underscoring the nation's dedication to its agricultural community.
